Ceramic bowl in raku pottery white turquoise and black smoke ideal like home decoror wedding gift. It is very elegant and modern and it's one of a kind.

Ceramic bowl in semi-refractory clay hand decorated with the Raku technique. It is a bowl in a type of clay very shock resistant. It is great for everyday use. Ideal for its size and shape as soap dish, ashtrays, candy bowl, and so on.
It's a unique and unrepeatable piece. I produced personally by myself, where I live, Bassano del Grappa, a town famous for its pottery tradition in craftsmanship. It is a bowl very elegant and stylish, ideal for a modern home, but also more traditional.
The raku pottery originated in Japan in the sixteenth century,it is known for its uniqueness and preciousness.

PROCESSING:
Craqueleur that is formed during the processing is the decorative feature of this technique ceramic and can never be replicated in an identical manner between one object and another, for this the Raku ceramic is unique and very valuable. To decorate this bowl I sprayed with the airbrush enamel turquoise and blue, to obtain an intermediate shade between the two colors. The outside instead I obtained by immersing the bowl in the intense blue color. Then I put it in the oven at 940°C, leaving the furnace was covered by sawdust for a few minutes and immersed in cold water to complete the reduction phase.

STORAGE AND CLEANING:
Even if it is a type of ceramic very durable, this is always an handmade object, so I do not recommend the dishwasher and the microwave. Detergents instead be used as well.

The ceramic is fragile and provides appropriate packaging, which increases the cost of shipping. Using softball, polystyrene and cardboard cartons.
This bowl is heavy like all raku pottery also all the package is heavy and the shipping result expensive.

Shipping methods: italian mail. Tracking number will be provided.
I do not use priority mail can not be tracked in order to avoid loss of shipments. Due to this the cost of my shipments are greater but shipping is more secure
Shipping costs include post fares and protective wrapping material.
Shipping ceramics is expensive! I am a very small business and don't qualify for a discount on shipping. I use recycled materials for shipping as one way of trying to cut down on shipping costs. I don't make any profit on shipping, the price listed is either the actual cost or even slightly discounted

If you want to spend less I send the object with simple shipping can not be tracked, but you have to ask me.
If you want simple priority mail cheap I do not refund in the event of a lost shipment!
Shipping with tracking number are expensive but is more safe than simple mail.
